About the event

Sadly, many of our Vietnam Veterans never received the Hero’s welcome they deserved when returning home from Vietnam. On Sunday, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 6:30 p.m., that will all change. Join us as we recreate the welcome home experience they deserve.

Vietnam Veterans

The Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. Vietnam War Veterans will be presented with special lapel pins provided by the Department of Defense's Vietnam War Commemoration.

Remembrance Table

A remembrance table will be available to share photos and mementos of Vietnam Veterans unable to attend or no longer with us. Please bring photos and mementos of friends, family, and loved ones to display on this table during the morning, to be taken home with you at the conclusion of the program. You may also remember your friends, comrades, and loved ones by writing their names on cards that will be provided.

Veterans are invited to wear their uniforms, if possible. If not, Vietnam Veterans are welcome to wear clothing and gear that identifies them as a Vietnam Veteran. Otherwise, dress for the event is patriotic casual.

Following the Celebration, photographs taken at the event will be posted on the website and viewable on the Facebook page.
